Community Shamanic Ceremonies In Asheville, NC

A space to find your voice, connect with others, and belong, just as you are

""

Healing doesn't only happen one on one. In these turbulent times, ritual and community are a powerful anchor of connection.

At Community Shaman, you’re invited to join our community gatherings in and around Asheville, NC. Facilitated by myself, Roger Wheelock, and my co-ceremonialist Gayle Mair, these events offer a safe, approachable space where people can connect around a shared intention.

Each event has its own theme and focus, from co-creative crystal grid ceremonies to outdoor offerings. Together, we create a vessel for community, belonging, positive intent, and energetic healing.

Events are free to attend. Donations are gratefully accepted and go directly toward supporting the indigenous Andean people of Peru whose traditions inform this work.

Mama Irene, Healer of the Andes Film Screening

This is a film about Mama Irene, a remarkable 84-year-old woman Shaman (healer) from Peru, drawing upon indigenous knowledge and traditions in danger of being lost forever. Yet her craft is based primarily on her own intuition: “Spirits have told me in my dreams how to proceed.”

Want to listen instead?

Tune into this interview where Gayle and I talk about how we became ceremonialists and why ceremony is so important for humans, especially in these times.

As a shamanic practitioner, working with people one on one is deeply meaningful to me, but healing in community is particularly special, too.

We all crave a place to belong, where we can express ourselves without judgment. And we want to be part of something bigger than ourselves, to do some good in the world and have a positive impact out there.

That’s the type of space we create together during a community gathering.

When people come together around a shared intention through ritual, something opens up. I believe that when you give something voice, you give it vibration. It becomes more real and becomes part of the resonance of the room.

By directing our energies together, we connect our intentions with something larger than everyone’s individual effort. We all leave carrying a spark that doesn’t go away when the gathering ends. We take it with us into our lives, our relationships, and our own actions, and from there it ripples out further than any of us can track.

Those are just a few of the reasons why I love these community events! I hope you’ll join us at the next one as we open our hearts and flow healing energies together back out into the world.
